1. Overview

NRI Tools is a subscription-based SaaS platform operated by Dharv Technologies LLP. Payments are processed via Razorpay. This policy describes when refunds are available and how to request one.

2. Free Plan

The Free plan is provided at no charge. No payments are collected, so no refunds are applicable.

3. Lite Plan — Monthly Subscriptions

  • 7-day money-back guarantee: First-time Lite subscribers who have not used any Lite-gated features (Budget Planner, Residency Tracker, phone recharge reminders, pre-departure progress tracking, document expiry reminders) may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial charge.
  • After 7 days or after using Lite features: No refund for the current billing period.
  • Cancellation: Cancel any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period; no partial-month refunds are issued.

4. Lite Plan — Annual Subscriptions

  • 14-day money-back guarantee: First-time annual subscribers who have not used any Lite-gated features may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial charge.
  • After 14 days and within 90 days of purchase: A prorated refund for unused full months remaining is available.
  • After 90 days of purchase: No refund is issued.

5. Pro Plan — Monthly Subscriptions

  • 7-day money-back guarantee: First-time Pro subscribers who have not used any Pro-gated features (unlimited documents, unlimited alerts, all email reminder types, Property tracker, Wealth tracker, Insurance tracker, FX Hedging, NPS, RSU/ESOP, Bank Locker, Family management) may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial charge.
  • After 7 days or after using Pro features: No refund for the current billing period.
  • Cancellation: Cancel any time from account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period; no partial-month refunds.

6. Pro Plan — Annual Subscriptions

  • 14-day money-back guarantee: First-time annual subscribers who have not used any Pro-gated features may request a full refund within 14 days.
  • After 14 days and within 90 days of purchase: A prorated refund for unused full months remaining is available. For example, if you cancel after 2 complete months of a 12-month plan, 10 months are refunded.
  • After 90 days of purchase: No refund is issued.

7. 15-Day Free Pro Trial

New accounts receive a 15-day Pro trial with no credit card required. No charge is made during the trial period, so no refund is applicable for the trial itself. If you subscribe after the trial, standard refund windows apply from the date of the first charge.

8. GST / Tax on Refunds (Indian Users)

Refunded amounts include the GST paid at the time of the original transaction. We will issue a credit note as required under the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017.

9. How to Request a Refund

Email us at support@nritools.com with the subject line:

Refund Request — [your registered email address]

Please include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Payment reference number (from your Razorpay receipt)
  • The plan and billing cycle (Lite/Pro, monthly/annual)
  • Reason for the refund request

We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

10. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • The applicable refund window has passed (7 days for monthly, 14 days for annual).
  • Any plan-gated feature was used during the subscription period.
  • The account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
  • The request is made more than 90 days after the original charge date.

11. Disputes & Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us at support@nritools.com before initiating a chargeback. Most issues are resolved quickly and directly.

EU consumers retain the right to contact their national consumer authority or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
