1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of NRI Tools ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Dharv Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership incorporated in India ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the Company.
2. Description of Service
NRI Tools is a web-based platform providing informational tools and calculators for Indian nationals living abroad (NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs). We currently offer 70+ tools organised across six categories:
- Money — Remittance rate comparison, salary calculator, budget planner, wealth tracker, FX hedging, capital gains, RSU/ESOP tax, NPS projections, SSA pension, GST refund.
- Tax & Compliance — Residency tracker, Tax & DTAA calculator, LRS/TCS tracker, lower TDS checker, Form 10F & TRC generator, Schedule FA guide.
- Documents & Identity — Document expiry tracker, visa checklist, family vault, embassy contacts, travel advisories, PCC guide, Aadhaar/PAN update, NRI voting guide.
- India Assets — Property tracker (EMI, lease, tax), banking guide, account conversion, insurance tracker, PPF/EPF planner, SGB tracker, GIFT City guide, NRI IPO, REIT/InvIT, broker comparison, MF AMC checker, MF nomination, bank locker.
- Life Abroad — Community forum, holiday calendar, Indian grocery finder, medicine finder, flights, education, country comparison, housing, Indian phone recharge tracker.
- Moving & Legal — Arrival guide, pre-departure checklist, return planner, driving licence converter, customs allowances, vehicle import, pet relocation, POA generator, will planner, bereavement kit, parent care, TR calculator.
We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features at any time without prior notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Your Account
To access most features you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with others.
- Notify us immediately at support@nritools.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are inactive for more than 24 months.
5. Subscription Plans
5.1 Free Plan
The Free plan gives access to 40+ public tools with no account required, plus authenticated tools with usage limits (e.g. up to 3 documents, 1 rate alert, 3 vault files · 25 MB). The Free plan is provided at no charge and we may adjust its limits at any time.
5.2 Lite Plan
The Lite plan is a paid subscription that increases limits and unlocks additional tools including the Budget Planner, Residency Tracker, Indian Phone reminders, Pre-Departure checklist tracking, Return Planner (save & sync), and document expiry reminders.
- Pricing: As published on our Pricing page. Prices vary by country and are shown in local currency.
- Billing: Billed in advance monthly or annually via Razorpay.
- Cancellation: Cancel any time from account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period; no partial-period refunds.
- Refunds: Governed by our Refund Policy.
5.3 Pro Plan
The Pro plan unlocks everything in Lite plus unlimited document tracking, unlimited rate alerts, all 9 email reminder types, Property tracker, Wealth tracker, Insurance tracker, FX Hedging, NPS, RSU/ESOP, Bank Locker, Family management & vault sharing, and priority support.

- Trial: New accounts receive a 15-day Pro trial with no credit card required.
- Billing: Billed in advance monthly or annually via Razorpay. Cancellation and refunds governed by our Refund Policy.
- Price changes: At least 30 days' notice before any price increase. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
5.4 GST & Invoicing
Indian users are charged GST at 18% on subscription prices as required by Indian GST law. A GST-compliant invoice is issued within 30 days of each payment. International users are invoiced with zero-rated GST (export of services under the IGST Act).
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Scrape or use automated tools to extract data without written permission.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Post content in the Community forum that is defamatory, abusive, threatening, obscene, or infringes third-party rights.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
7. Disclaimer — Not Professional Advice
All content on NRI Tools is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, tax, legal, investment, or medical advice.
The calculators, guides, DTAA tables, salary estimates, property projections, and all other content are provided as general references. Tax laws, exchange rates, banking regulations, visa rules, and other information change frequently and may vary based on your individual circumstances.
Before making any financial, tax, or legal decision, consult a qualified professional — such as a Chartered Accountant (CA), tax advisor, or lawyer — familiar with both Indian law and the laws of your country of residence.
7.1 Medicine Finder — Medical Disclaimer
The Medicine Finder tool is a name-identification aid only and does not constitute medical, pharmaceutical, clinical, or diagnostic advice. Do not use it to self-diagnose, self-treat, or replace a consultation with a licensed healthcare professional. In a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
Dharv Technologies LLP expressly disclaims all liability for any harm, adverse reaction, or loss arising from reliance on the Medicine Finder.
8. Intellectual Property
All software, design, text, and content on the Service (excluding content you submit) are owned by or licensed to Dharv Technologies LLP. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process content you submit solely to provide the Service to you. Community posts are publicly visible — you retain ownership but grant other users a licence to read your content.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service contains links to third-party websites (e.g. embassy websites, bank websites, flight booking platforms). These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for third-party content, privacy practices, or terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dharv Technologies LLP and its partners, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or financial losses arising from reliance on the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 (whichever is greater).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Dharv Technologies LLP from any claims, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
You may delete your account by contacting support@nritools.com. We will permanently delete your account and personal data within 30 days (excluding legally required retention).
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India), with the seat of arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
EU consumers also retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of habitual residence.
14. Changes to These Terms
When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
